Join Our Team – Now Hiring Eagle Reef Project Coordinator

Partners for Environmental Progress (PEP) is seeking a part-time Project Coordinator to improve the water quality and fish habitat in the waters of coastal Alabama by coordinating all facets of the Eagle Reef Project.

The position will be responsible for project coordination for the purposes of installing oyster “mini” reefs within the Alabama coastal waters. The Project Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and work with the staff and Board of  Directors to develop and execute aspects of the project, including communications, serving as liaison with the Science Committee and fundraising. Deploying 1000 Eagle Reefs will result in filtering up to 7.3 billion gallons of water annually and create habitats that result in thousands of fish and crabs per year in our coastal waters.

This is a part-time (15-20 hours per week) position. Students are encouraged to apply (preferably graduate students or Junior/Seniors). Most working hours will be between 8 a.m. and  5 p.m. and will require occasional early morning, evening meetings and weekend work. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Excellent organization and communication skills are required. Marine or environmental science knowledge is beneficial, but not required.

To apply, please email a resume and cover letter to director@pepmobile.org. More information about the Eagle Reef Project is available at https://pepmobile.org/the-eagle-reef/.
