PEP organized with other member companies to encourage employees to volunteer their time on Friday, April 28, 2023 to pick up litter along Montlimar Creek – and it was a great success!
In just two hours, 50 volunteers from 15 companies and organizations collected 487 pounds of trash, 11 pounds of which were able to be recycled. Some of the debris collected included: a shopping cart, baby gate, suitcase, wood pallet, various metal pieces and an aluminum chair.
We want to give a special thank you to Hampton Inn Mobile I-65 for sponsoring the event. Other sponsors included PEP, Osprey Initiative, Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, and Dog River Clearwater Revival.
Participating companies and organizations included: Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, Osprey Initiative, AM/NS Calvert, AMVAC, Cain and Associates, Elevate Workforce, HSA (formerly Mitsubishi Polysilicon), Outokumpu, PPM Consultants, SCS Engineers, TC Boiler, Thompson Engineering, and VSC Fire & Security.
