The Alabama Port Authority Board of Directors has appointed Doug Otto as Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Otto brings more than three decades of experience in port operations and infrastructure development. Prior to being the Chief Engineering Officer for the Port, Doug was the Chief Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District. He also served as the Commander of the U.S. Air Force Reserve’s “Hurricane Hunters” squadron.
Under his leadership, the Port will continue advancing more than $1 billion in capital investments — including terminal expansions and statewide intermodal connectivity projects that strengthen Alabama’s position in global trade.
